Coppola Services worked with the Village of Washingtonville on of the construction of a new 0.25 MGD wastewater treatment plant. All existing operations and flows were maintained throughout construction and the existing plant was demolished upon new plant commissioning.
The new plant was constructed on the property of an existing treatment with limited space (35,000 sf total site area).Coppola was able to complete the construction while maintaining the existing operations and flows throughout construction and the existing plant was demolished upon new plant commissioning.
The new WWTP is an SBR plant with a headworks building facility consisting of influent screens and chemical feed systems, influent pump station, concrete tanks for SBR#1, SBR#2, future SBR#3, a post equalization tank and a sludge holding tank. The project also included the construction of a new control building that housed the electrical and control rooms, blower facility for aeration, effluent pump station, polishing filter, backup generator and UV disinfection. The controls for the plant consisted of a main plant PLC and SCADA network that was tied back to the owners existing SCADA infrastructure.
